History and description

Central Coast Stadium was built in 1999 for use as a home stadium for rugby club North Sydney Bears. However, the bears never moved into the stadium, and it was eventually sold and used for other purposes. The stadium has a capacity of 18,000 and has been used for Australian A-League matches, internationals and various other events.

The stadium has three stands on its east, west, and south sides. The stand on the side bordering Brisbane Water is left open. It has had various names, primarily resulting from sponsorship deals, most recently Bluetongue Stadium between 2011 and 2014, but right now goes by the name of Central Coast Stadium again.

How to get to Central Coast Stadium

The stadium is accessible by car via the M1 motorway, or by public transport. Central Coast Stadium is located in Gosford, a small city located about 70 kilometres north of Sydney. The stadium sits on the shores of the Brisbane Water, an inland bay, and lies on the south-western tip of Gosford's city centre. The stadium is located on the Central Coast Highway, which branches off the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway further west. From the Freeway, exit for the Central Coast Highway/Gosford, and follow it for almost 7 kilometres until reaching Gosford. When you reach Gosford, the stadium will be visible on the left side of the road.

The stadium is located quite close to the Gosford train station. Trains departing from Sydney Central station connect Gosford to Newcastle and the Central Coast. These trains leave every 90 minutes.

Central Coast Mariners Tickets

Tickets for Central Coast Mariners games can be purchased online, at the box office of the stadium on the day of the match, or through Ticketek. The Mariners don't usually sell out. Ticket prices typically range from AUD 20.00 for general admission seats behind the goal to AUD 40.00 for platinum seats at the main stand.
