Masterani Free: Everything you need to know (Updated 2022)

Masterani is an anime streaming website that hosts a little over 400 titles in its library. The video quality of this website is very good, but the pop-up advertisements will run users away before they can finish a video.

There is very little information about the streaming service Masterani on the internet. The website seems to have gone unnoticed by most people, and there is no telling when it first came into existence. There is only a small Facebook page with few followers, as well as a Reddit post from two years ago that mentions the site.
The most information I could find from the brand Masterani was in their Privacy Policy. The brand claims to let viewers find their favorite anime links to watch. They also warn users that they collect personal data. They collect IP addresses and browser user agents whenever users leave comments. Supposedly, it helps keep the spambots away. There is a contact form available on the website, but I doubt it works. The contact email available is definitely a fake one.

Website Design

The first two options are clearly labeled and easy to navigate. The third option, anime series, has a detailed drop-down menu with 11 series listed. There's even a search bar so you can find what you're looking for quickly. Overall, the landing page is user-friendly and nicely designed. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the Masterani landing page. The background of a full-image anime photo really drew users? attention. It looks polished, clean, and professional, yet fun. The header presents three options - home, anime movies, or anime series. The first two options are clearly labeled and easy to navigate. The website's organization is good. It is slightly smaller than most anime streaming sites I typically use and there are approximately 450 titles in the Masterani library. After getting past the home page, the rest of the site is somewhat plain. It uses a night mode theme, like most other anime sites. The logo is simple but visually appealing.
Although navigation on Masterani may not be the best, the advertisements themselves are not overwhelming. Most of them are located in the sidebar or header, and though they may be irritating, they are not a deal-breaker. However, trying to click on any portion of the website will result in a slew of pop-up ads that prompt users to download suspicious files. If you aren't fast enough to click the exit button, there's no telling what could happen to your computer.

The website contains a list of anime series and movies. The majority of these are subtitled versions of anime. There are only two movie pages, both of which only have one title listed. offers a variety of genres, some of which are adventure, action, comedy, crime, drama, family, horror, music, mystery, romance, thriller, war, and science fiction. There are many popular titles available on the site like The Promised Neverland, Fairy Tail, One Piece, Yugioh, and more.

Desktop & Mobile Accessibility

The desktop version of this website is not the best. I have seen worse anime streaming sites in my time, but not by much. I had an initial impression of the home page that was false, as I found out later the website does have some problems on desktop and mobile. Navigation on the desktop is terrible and difficult to use because of all of the pop-up ads. The website is organized, but it makes no real difference because of how many pop-up ads there are.
The mobile website is not as good as the desktop version. The home page is squeezed together and is not as impactful in this version. The text is much darker on mobile for some reason. It is close to impossible to read headers. There is no application. Both versions are a pain to use.

One of the great features of Masterani's website is the size of their English subtitles. In comparison to other subtitled anime, their fonts are larger and clearer which enhances the reading experience.
The video quality is very good. There is little buffering time with Masterani. Within the first ten seconds of video, I had a clear, crisp anime. The night mode really enhances viewing for websites like these. The audio is up to speed, as well. In terms of quality, I would rank the audio somewhere in the middle. The voices were loud enough, but the clarity was debatable.
The series information is another great feature. The descriptions offer a comprehensive summary of the show, along with classifying its genre, release date, writer, creator, voice actors, country of origin, duration, quality, and ratings. Promotional posters accompany the description.
The home page of this website is stunning! It features a large background portrait of an anime character. The background is the focal point and grabs attention. The colors used are striking and interesting. The organization and navigation from the home page are great.
One thing that I thought about as a potential positive is the number of advertisements on the website. There are not very many, and they mostly stay in the header and a few in the sidebar. It is not incredibly distracting, but there is a catch- there are overwhelming pop-ups to make up for the low count of ads.

The negative aspects of Masterani are well hidden, at first. Unfortunately, there are some poor qualities that I cannot overlook.
The worst aspect of Masterani is the incessant pop-up ads. Ads were so disruptive that my pop-up blocker couldn't keep up and remove them. Whenever users click, even if it's not on a specific link, an ad will pop up. There are also a few ads that hover over videos, disrupting the viewing experience.
An unusual fact about Masterani is that they are nearly impossible to find online. Only a few Facebook pages remain and their website has no ?About Us? page or social media presence. Their Privacy Policy is in a colored font but it's difficult to read because it's on an all-black background. Some of the language in the policy feels suspicious, like they're collecting personal data without our consent.
The content on the anime streaming website is very limited, in contrast to other websites that carry a wider variety of anime shows. I noticed that popular anime series were not among the selections offered by this site, and that there is a tab for submitting requests, but this leads to an obviously fake email.

Improvements Needed

The massive improvements that could be implemented to improve Masterani are unfortunately past saving. My advice would be to scrap it and start fresh.
If I were to make suggestions in light of the website as it currently exists, I would suggest that Masterani remove the pop-up ads and use their blank backgrounds to host more advertisements. I find ads I know about more satisfying than those that sneak up on me.
I believe that website should host more titles in order to expand its media library. They currently have many titles that are duplicated, hosting the subtitled original version and a dubbed English version. This is an easy way to increase the number of available titles.

It is frustrating because there are some great features about the website, but the bad overlaps the good so much it is irrelevant. On the surface, Masterani looks like a professional anime streaming service, but there are many issues that keep it from being successful. In terms of anime streaming, I would not recommend this website.
