My Tuner is the perfect multichannel radio service for those who are looking for an alternative to the overcrowded and saturated radio streaming market. It is unlike any other multichannel radio service that users find when searching for radio stations. My Tuner is one of the most interactive and user-friendly services available, and I have used it for nearly four years. My Tuner has a special place in my heart, as it is one of the few things that has helped me stay connected to my favorite music throughout these difficult times.

What is myTuner?

If you are unfamiliar with myTuner Radio, you may not have heard it. It is an internet-based radio directory which provides access to over 50,000 stations and 1 million podcasts on one website.

Eduardo Carqueja founded myTuner in October 2010 and the first version of the iOS app, iTuner Radio, was released in 2012. When Digital Minds acquired the app in May 2013, their focus shifted from single app development to a multi-platform directory with a vast network of internet radio stations. The app has been well received both on iPhone and iPad and it currently has over 50,000 stations from over 200 countries.

Why should you stream myTuner?

Many apps offer filtering features, but myTuner Radio goes further by allowing you to filter your station based on location (city, state, and country), genre ( Indie, Electronic, Pop, Rock, Hip Hop ), and content (news, music, local). This level of detail makes it easy to find the right type of content quickly.

Extensive podcast coverage

The myTuner Radio podcast network offers 50,000 stations from around the world, but its greatest strength is its podcast library. It has similar options to radio stations in terms of listening, with categories such as health, music, news, comedy, politics, arts and science. Additionally, podcasts can be downloaded on mobile devices for offline listening. I absolutely love this feature!

Multi-platform support

The myTuner platform is available on the website and through the app. If you want to stream the service, you can download it for desktop devices - Web, Windows, Mac, wearables - apple watch and android wearables, mobile phones - Android and iOS devices, TV - Apple TV, LG TV, Samsung TV, Android TV and finally set-top box - Amazon Fire TV and Roku TV.
Apart from these, myTuner is also compatible with smart speakers and home appliances such as Sonos and Alexa. If you thought that was enough, it's even compatible with Android Auto, Apple Carplay, Bosch mySPIN, and Jaguar & Land Rover InControl Apps.

Alarm and timer support

Many reviewers have found this handy feature to be a great way to sleep while listening to music or podcasts. The alarm and timer support allows you to sleep through the radio's notification sound, set your favorite station as the ringtone, and get an early morning update without feeling groggy.

Background play

You don't need to stay on the app to listen to the radio. You can get going with other things and carry on doing your mundane task on your phone. MyTuner works in the background and thus there are no discrepancies. You can create a playlist and even share them using Facebook, Twitter, Email, or SMS. If you're an iOS user, you can even listen to the radio using Air-Play. MyTuner Radio's compatibility is truly unmatched.

How to access myTuner?

Our radio streaming platform, myTuner, is among the most popular options and can be found by typing ??My Tuner? in your search engine. If you want to access it from our website, you can use the following link: My Tuner Radio.

Given what I have seen in the majority of the radio music streaming websites, I would say that myTuner?s user interface is respectable. The Red and white color combination is present in unison across the website and can be seen on every page. Apart from a few elements such as the alignment on the homepage, and app plug, I like the overall look and feel of this website.

My Tuner's header section is very straightforward. There are 4 menus-Stations, Podcasts, Sign-in, and Search.

If you click on stations, you will be taken to a new page with the most popular radio channels in your country. For instance, if you are streaming from the United States - you will find Fox News Talk, WQHT Hot 97 FM, The Big 80s Station, along with 21,000 other channels.
Similarly, if you are streaming from India you will get 465 channels including the likes of Radio Mirchi 98.3, Pehla Nasha, Radio Namkeen, 92.7 Big FM and AIR FM Gold to name a few.

If you click on a podcast, you'll be directed to a dedicated page with a list of podcasts on the right and the search and sort category on the left. An interesting feature is that you can star mark your favorite podcast which will keep it on the top regardless of the language, country or city you choose.

The sign-in page has a simple layout with an email address and password field. If the user is already registered, they can login using this page by entering their email address and password. Alternatives to logging in include Facebook and Google Sign-in. In the event that the user forgets their password, they can click the link to reset their password.

Hero Section

The Hero Section of myTuner is similar to the inner page, except for specific region-based channels and podcasts. You get the top internet radio stations in your region by default. The list will have popular stations from your country, such as Fox News Talk, WQHT Hot 97 FM, and The Big 80s Station.

As you scroll down the website, you will see three rows of top radio stations. After the channel thumbnails, you will have a list of radio stations based on genre. There is a slider option that you can use to find the genre you want to listen to. Scroll further and you will see the Apps section which provides the link to download the app followed by popular podcasts.

Inner pages

The inner page layout is like what you see on the homepage and through the header section. In this section, I would like to discuss the audio player. There is a channel thumbnail on the left, title on the right, followed by the channel link and a song that is currently playing. You can even check the tracks that were played before (up to one hour). There are ads on top of the inner page, just above the player and on the right side. Thus, leaderboard ads and skyscraper ads are two ads that you might see on the website.

The myTuner network has an extensive directory of radio stations from over 200 countries. There are about 50,000 different radio stations on the network, including AM, FM and online stations. Regardless of where you are or what your music tastes are, you can find something to enjoy on this network. Not only do you have access to over a million podcasts, but you can also adjust the sound quality using the built-in equalizer.

Desktop/Mobile experience

I absolutely love how straightforward myTuner is. There are no complex configurations to deal with- just visit the website or download the app from the store and start listening to music or podcasts. I downloaded the app on my iPhone XR and as soon as it downloaded, my phone used my location to choose the country and displayed the top channels in that location. I can access other sections on the app by using left or right slider options, such as local, news, pop music, recommended, etc.
To listen to radio stations from other countries, tap on the flag on the upper right-hand corner and choose the country. Once you do it, you will get suggestions consisting of top stations from that country.

Plans & Pricing

My Tuner is available in two versions: free and premium. The free version has advertisements and doesn't offer the equalizer feature, but you can access the feature through certain tasks such as setting an alarm, listening to a podcast, adding favorites, and so on. If you like the platform and want to be able to stream without ads, you must make a one-time payment of $3 which makes your account premium forever.

Suggestions I have for myTuner

Though I absolutely love the myTuner app, there is no way to use the play/pause button using earphones. Thus, unlike me even if you own a phone with earphones, you will need your screen to toggle back and forth.

I find myTuner valuable as I enjoy listening to podcasts. Recently, I switched from audiobooks to podcasts and myTuner proved to be the perfect app for that change. I would highly recommend myTuner - the app in specific.
