Watching professional basketball, it turns out, just is not the same without the audience there to cheer on their team and create a palpable sense of energy and excitement. I never knew what a pivotal role that the audience played in professional sports broadcasts until now. Watching NBA games in 2020 is something more akin, I think, to watching a scrimmage match or a team practice.
Since the shooting of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Sunday evening, NBA players have been protesting by refusing to take the court for games. On Tuesday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks players decided to strike in protest of the incidents that have been happening throughout the country.
Shortly thereafter, many more teams joined in on the strike. In fact, this message of solidarity was not even contained to just the NBA. Teams from the MLB and WNBA, as well as famous tennis players also put everything on the line to stand in solidarity (or kneel) with the Black Lives Matter Movement and Jacob Blake, who was gunned down in front of his children.
After a 48-hour negotiation, the NBA and its players reached an agreement which included league-sanctioned forms of protest. Consequently, the NBA playoffs are back on as of now.
Despite the tumult of the current times, I do not see any reason why one should not watch the NBA playoffs this year. In fact, I think it makes the playoffs all the more fascinating and unpredictable to watch as anything can happen. The experts and pundits are no longer able to predict everything, so it is anyone's game at this point. I am looking forward to following my team and seeing who makes it to the championship this time around.

Suggestions that I have for NBA Bite
I would like NBA Bite to redesign their mobile site. Additionally, I think it would be nice if they could develop an app to improve the mobile experience.
