It can be a daunting task trying to discern the best streaming sites from the subpar. There are many factors that one needs to take into account before making this decision. Some of the things that you may want to consider include the site's design, usability, quality of content, and library size. It can be helpful to read user reviews before making your decision, as well as compare different streaming sites using various factors.
Which is precisely why I have dedicated my time to creating StreamingSites. Within my list of reviews only featuring the most worthwhile streaming sites, there is variation.
Even though I only review the best streaming sites, there is always going to be some variability in quality. There are the worst of the best and there are the best of the best. My reviews have eliminated all of the sites that don't even deserve to be mentioned, but you might still find that some of the sites that I have listed are better for what you're looking for in a streaming site.
Which is the first thing you will have to figure out before you can come to a conclusion about which free movie streaming site is going to be the best for you? The question is not, "which free streaming site is the best?" but, instead, "which free streaming site is the best for you?" That last part is crucial. We all have different preferences.
We all want to find different streaming sites that cater to our own preferences and style. By reading my comprehensive list of reviews of the best free streaming sites, you will be able to understand what matters to you in a streaming site and which one suits your needs best.
That does not mean, however, that there are not some general things to be looking for as you conduct your search. Chances are, you will want a free streaming site that offers the highest number of titles, right? Because, well, the more titles and shows that a free streaming site has to offer, the more likely you are going to be when it comes to finding the specific titles that you are looking for at a given time. The logic checks out, right?
Secondly, it is also important to consider the site's quality when looking for a free streaming site. Unfortunately, free streaming sites do not have the best reputation when it comes to providing intuitive and user-friendly web design. Too often, free streaming sites are brimming with ads, which can be irritating and dangerous. There are lots of people out there who are scared to use free movie and TV streaming sites because of horror stories about people getting viruses, trackers, and trojans from ads.
I would never knowingly include a site on my list that contains viruses or other malware. With that in mind, I also have a list of some great VPNs, which are invaluable when it comes to protecting your computer?s well-being while you browse free streaming sites (or any sites for that matter).
I would advise everyone to go and find an ad-blocker, as well as solid antivirus software. With these three things, you will be as close to impenetrable as possible while browsing the web, no matter what you are doing.
Design
Some people may find Prime Wire to be a little bit strange, design-wise. At least at first. The orientation of the home page, for instance, feels inverted. The member login and sign up box is awkwardly placed on the right-hand side of the page (when it feels much more at home being left-justified). There are also a few quick links: latest comments, top comments, TV schedule, and some other informational tidbits on how to make the most of the site. I love that Prime Wire is offering a guide, however--in order to help first-timers and novice free movie streamers find their way around this site--so that people can get started quickly and comfortably.
Another design qualm I have with Prime Wire is the way in which the movies are listed. When you click into a title, the information at the top of the page will be a list of links to the hosted files. Word to the wise: skip the top result, as it is always going to be an ad that will bring you to another page that leads you to believe that it has the movie or show if you sign up, although it, in fact, does not.
I don't like this layout because it is more cumbersome than it needs to be. I have seen the free movie and TV streaming sites execute this in a much more streamlined and user-friendly manner. Some sites, for example, provide one media player box and allow each link to automatically be cycled through without having to scroll through a lengthy list. Others take a sort of Google Images approach and give you a list of search results with thumbnails, which also feels more natural and less clunky.
Maybe this list layout doesn't bug you as much as it bugs me. Personally, I would love to see Prime Wire undergo a serious makeover.
Content
The PrimeWire library has a vast selection of movies and TV shows to choose from. Almost any title you might think of is available here, but be aware that streaming quality can vary greatly. Many files do not stream in high definition, for example, and some only go up to 240p. As a result, the experience is less than perfect.
Mobile and Desktop Experience
There is no Prime Wire app, and their mobile site seems to work just fine. It is pretty ad-heavy, but, hey, that comes with the territory, unfortunately. With these kinds of sites, there are unavoidable ads.
Suggestions that I have for Prime Wire
I would like to see Prime Wire redesign their website in a more experiential, aesthetically pleasing, and streamlined design. This would be beneficial for both customers and Prime Wire as a business. Higher quality links are essential to ensure people can enjoy streaming content in high definition. It is 2017, after all.
