This past decade has seen a great increase in technology in the world of Videography, with the introduction of devices such as GoPro cameras and drones. This has allowed for more creativity and experimentation in the way videos are shot, which has resulted in better quality footage. Cameras are now much more portable and rugged, making them suitable for a wider range of applications.
In the past few decades, there has been an overall enhancement in the quality of videos, including better special effects, sound quality, and final product. Today, videographers have the flexibility to capture great footage without having to edit it extensively later on. However, as a video maker, you may dislike this idea as you would rather have the best raw footage to start with so that you don't have to edit it much later on.

My recent experience on r/Videography
I recently upvoted a question on r/Videography that was from a user who was looking for recommendations on the best hybrid video/stills camera. The user explained that he had a GH4 camera and he was unhappy with its low light performance and lackluster stills. For me, it's not about judging based on the number of members because, for such a niche subject, it's not a small number.

And though r/videography is substantially small, it does have a considerable amount of video content.
