Real Betis Balompie Seville
Betis Sevilla is one of the most famous football clubs in Spain and has already won La Liga five times. They are also the first team to win both the Copa del Rey (1934) and the UEFA Champions Club Cup/Europa League (hereafter simply "Championship") in different decades - Betis became European champions in 1964! The colors green and white clearly symbolize a homecoming; Andalusia was originally settled by the Phoenicians, who lived between 3000 and 500 BC. introduced agriculture before moving to other parts of the Iberian Peninsula due to a large wave of immigration from North Africa after the fifth century AD to the seventh century AD.
The 55,000-seat Estadio Benito Villamarín is owned by Betis and is located in the Heliópolis district of Madrid. The club crest consists of two large letters standing for Balompié, which means football in Spanish-speaking countries like Colombia, where I'm from. Above it is a crown, which explains why my favorite team has an extra "e" in their name (Real = Royal). My arch-rivals, Sevilla FC, have always been close rivals, so the derby against them will be very exciting.
The club have a long track record in Spain, with one league and two cup finals to their name.
