To be recognized as its own entity, an anime must break through the competition in the mainstream market. Over the years, we have been presented with dozens of amazing anime that have significantly changed the quality of content we expect from creators. What makes an anime unique is its ability to stand out from everything else that exists. One particular anime that has stood out over the past two decades is "One Piece".
One Piece is a standout anime
This allows the viewer to really connect to the characters, making watching One Piece a truly enjoyable experience.
There are many anime shows out there and it is hard to distinguish the characters because of this, which makes most of the content forgettable. Fortunately, that is not the case with One Piece. It is immune to character repetition and each character that you watch on the show stays with you. Each main character is well-defined and you are well aware of their strengths and weaknesses. This allows viewers to really connect to the characters, making watching One Piece a truly enjoyable experience.
Many people believe that One Piece's arcs are slow in terms of progression, but shounen lovers prefer a slower runtime over less developed characters. The revelations, plot twists, and great location settings make you live the anime. One Piece keeps you glued throughout, emphasizing the importance of your roots - friendship, families and the whole crew.
It should not come as a surprise that OP has a dedicated anime streaming website called WatchOP. Using the streaming website, you can stream all 900+ episodes of OP and access them from the homepage.
What is WatchOP?
WatchOP is an online streaming platform that allows viewers to watch all of the One Piece episodes. The shows are available in English with or without subtitles, and the original dialogues are preserved. I would always recommend choosing the subtitles option because the dubbed shows lack the original flavor put into them by the creator. However, we can all be thankful for having both options at our disposal.
Why should you watch OnePiece?
I do not generally include this section of my review, but for this legendary anime, I am doing so. If you have not started watching One Piece yet, I would recommend you do so. The plot, although being very simple, has fascinating storytelling as the anime progresses. The story arcs, twists, suspense, and adventures of different characters including Monkey D. Luffy make it a great watch.
Why should you stream on WatchOP?
After watching the show, it is time to share some information about the platform WatchOP. This dedicated One Piece platform makes it stand out. However, it is not just the singular approach but a variety of amazing features that convince you to stream on this platform.
Dedicated One Piece website
The first episode of One Piece is available on this network. It can be found on the homepage itself. Scrolling down, you'll find the episodes in descending order with the most recent one being at the top.
Complete episodes
WatchOP is not a website that promotes deceptive or fraudulent practices. It does not promote streaming services that charge high subscription fees. Rather, you can find the content on WatchOP itself, and it will be available for streaming without any difficulty. There's an in-built video player that allows you to watch videos on the website without having to use any external plugs or Adobe Flash updates.
Live Ticker
For viewers who are up-to-date with all the episodes of One Piece, they can make use of the Live Ticker to understand when the next episode is going to get uploaded. The live ticker provides you with an exact countdown until the time when the episode is uploaded. Every week, you will find one episode of One Piece uploaded just one hour after it aired on Japanese TV.
Dubbed Episodes
If you are having difficulty following the subtitles and need help understanding the English or Spanish dialogue, you can watch dubbed episodes. Since One Piece is such a popular anime, it is likely to be found in your preferred language in dubbed form. If you can understand subtitles, I would recommend watching the subbed version over the dubbed one.
Quality Streaming
The ability of WatchOP to back its content prowess with quality streaming is a major success. The streaming experience is great, allowing you to manually choose the resolution based upon your internet speed. This allows you to watch One Piece in slightly lower resolution if necessary, instead of buffering and shutting you out.
How to access WatchOP?
To access WatchOP, you can search for the term ?WatchOP? in your search engine or use the following link: WatchOP.
Before you access the website, please make sure that you are using a VPN. A VPN is essential in protecting your identity from hackers as well as your device from malware.
Design
There is not much to praise or complain about the design approach for One Piece, as I was not expecting some out of the box graphics. Just like the show, the website is excellent in certain areas and poor in others. Let's check out different sections on the website.
Header
In the bottom left corner, you?ll find ?New Episodes?, ?What's New?, and a ?Community? tab. The Community tab allows members to suggest new shows for inclusion on the site, as well as post links to fanart and discussion boards related to certain shows.
The header section of WatchOP has five key options - Home, One Piece English Dubbed, One Piece Manga, Soundtracks, and Anime Dubbed. I'm not a big fan of the all caps text approach. Having said that, I don't mind the blue background as it helps the text to stand out. Under the primary header, you'll find a supporting section that features random episodes and lists. In the bottom left corner, you'll find New Episodes?, What's New?, and a Community tab. The Community tab allows members to suggest new shows for inclusion on the site, as well as post links to fanart and discussion boards related to certain shows.
Hero Section
The episodes are also listed in reverse chronological order.
The hero section of this website is quite plain with a white background and black text. The addition of a live countdown clock really improves the overall section which otherwise would have looked bizarre. Under the compact primary section, you will find the latest episode highlighted in yellow color. Under that, you will find a list of all the episodes in the descending order. The episodes are also listed in reverse chronological order.
Body
That way, newcomers can see what they are interested in without feeling overwhelmed.
This section is the biggest strength and the biggest weakness of this website at the same time. It depends upon how one views it. For people who know about the episodes and what they want to watch, it is helpful. For people who are new and have landed on the homepage for the first time, they will be scared of seeing the long scrolling requisite on the homepage. It is tiring and too much. It would be better if the developers would create different pages with each one carrying no more than 30 episodes. That way, newcomers can see what they are interested in without feeling overwhelmed.
Footer
The footer section has few options. There is a chat option that is followed by Legal, Privacy Policy, Contact Us. I am kind of upset that the developers didn't add navigation options in the footer section. But now when I think about it, even he/she must have gotten tired seeing the tumultuous homepage.
Inner Pages
Beneath the heading was a list of links to different One Piece movie pages. I clicked on the link for ?One Piece Film Z? and landed on a page that said ?Watch One Piece Film Z English Subbed Now?. There was also a link to a page that said ?Find Us Here: https://onepiece-movies.subscriptionvideo.net/?category=english&subcategory=movies?'.
I clicked on English Subbed categories and thus landed on an inner page. The page started with a headline "Watch One Piece Movies English Subbed?" The text was supported by a short summary "You can watch and download One Piece movies without registration?". Beneath the heading was a list of links to different One Piece movie pages. I clicked on the link for "One Piece Film Z" and landed on a page that said "Watch One Piece Film Z English Subbed Now?" There was also a link to a page that said "Find Us Here: https://onepiece-movies.subscriptionvideo.net/?category=english&subcategory=movies?".
Content
If you're a One Piece fan, you might already know about this website. If not, this is the website that will lead you to heaven. All of One Piece's episodes in subbed and dubbed versions are everything you could hope for on a dedicated anime website. From Episode 1 - ?I'm Luffy! The Man Who's Gonna Be King of the Pirates!? to Episode 924 - ?The Capital in an Uproar! Another Assassin Targets Sanji!, you can watch it all.
Desktop/Mobile experience
I streamed WatchOP on my iPhone 11 Pro and my HP 15 Notebook. I enjoyed watching 24 episodes before taking my first break. The streaming quality was excellent, with no lag and no problems sailing. I was very impressed with the website's streaming standard, and had high expectations from it. However, if your data speed fluctuates a bit, WatchOP allows you to adjust the resolution manually.
Suggestions I have for WatchOP
To improve the overall look of the website, there are a few areas where graphic improvements can be made. Additionally, the homepage could be shortened and divided into episodes respectively.
Conclusion
If you are a fan of One Piece, you should definitely check out this website. However, if you are just starting to watch One Piece, WatchOP will allow you to not only stream but even download the episodes in high definition.
